Things that are awesome: .. The ocean.  Although I live in Minnesota, I grew up visiting the ocean in California at least once a year.  I am an anxious person by nature, but for some reason, the sight and sounds of the ocean have always been very calming to me.  I want to visit again sometime this winter... I could sit contentedly on the shore forever.

Things that are awesome: .. Water. As obvious as this one sounds, I've really come to appreciate it in the past year or so. I used to drink mostly pop, but I was getting lots of headaches so I bought a water bottle and now I drink water throughout the day. Since switching over, I"ve had less headaches, AND I've gotten sick less.  I've only missed work once in the past year due to illness. Hydration rocks!

Book Review:  Weighing in with an awesomeness score of 7/10, this book had some aspects that I liked, and others that I didn't.  Basically the story of a girl who is a triplet (her two sisters are identical, and she is not), who is trying to figure out how to be part of her sister's tight circle, but also be an individual at the same time.  Goes back and forth in time from her childhood and college years, to present day, where her father has disappeared and she is trying to figure out what happened to him.  The writing style was very compelling, but again, they always have to put some stupid immoral love scene in somewhere (that burns me up!), and the ending wasn't as satisfying as I would have hoped.  A so-so reading choice I'd say.

Things that are awesome: Although I know next to nothing about the army, military, or air force, my dad watched this show off and on as I was growing up, so I bought him the first season on dvd for Christmas. I started watching it with him... and now I love it too! It is interesting, and has lot of parts that make you laugh out loud! I would def recommend this for anyone looking for a new show to watch. It's not on tv anymore I dont think, but I'm sure netflix has it. :)

Things that are awesome: .. Someone posted a comic of theirs on facebook, and reminded me of all the good times spent reading their comics as a kid.  I LOVED Calvin and Hobbes! They were so funny.. I think I read every single one of their books at some point. I remember wishing I had a Hobbes of my own. :)

Things that are awesome: ... Friends when you really need them. I had a horrible day yesterday- cried a lot, and felt like a complete failure.  I talked to my dad about it, and when he came home from work, he spend the evening with me, playing banannagrams and even watching House (which he hates) just to make me feel a little less alone. It helped a lot.
