Verse of the day: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 NIV "

Random thought of the day:  Even thought I would never want to be a teacher for a living, I absolutely LOVE teaching (or assisting anyways) Sunday School.  After quitting worship team this fall, I decided I still needed a way to serve at my church, so I started helping my dad teach his 4-6th grade class.  I'm the crowd control person mostly, but I also get to write up the quizzes for each week, read them excerpts from a book on George Mueller, and hand out prizes- which is a blast! It's so fun to see kids understanding the Bible and learning things for the first time...  Wow I"m a dork. :P

House: It's what I do. Has it gotten worse lately?
                                         Foreman: Yeah.
House: Well that rules out the race thing, cause you were just as
                                                      black last week.

MLS:  "Today, I was playing video games at 2 a.m. My guinea pig started squeling at me, and woudln't stop until I turned out the lights and got into bed. I"m 20 years old, and I've let a rodent dictate my bedtiime. MLS."

Random thought of the day: :  Sometimes I really wish I would have signed up for dance lessons as a kid. Sure I was a little clumsy, but man! How I wish I would have taken the time to learn when being awkward is still cute and not just.. awkward.  Now all I can do is secretly watch dance shows and movies obsessively. and pretend I'm tired when dance music comes on at karoake.. With that skill added to my singing I could have been... Sigh.

Verse of the day: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NIV

Random thought of the day:  As a perpetually curious person, I find myself fascinated by previous times... what it was like to live in previous generations.  One of my favorite things to do is ask my grandma what her childhood was like, and about what my mother was like when SHE was little.  While we were lying on the beach in Florida, I found myself asking her about these things again, and even though I'd heard some of the stories before, I still enjoyed every minute of it.  Got a good tan while I was listening too- yesss!

Verse of the day: The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3 NIV

Random thought of the day:  As much as people claim the hamburger is "not real hamburger" and that taco bell is "not real mexican" I have a not-so-secret love for this place.  Jen and I stopped here for lunch twice on our vacation, and enjoyed every bite.  Sometimes those crunchy hard shell taco supremes really hit the spot, and the hot sauce packets are hilarious. Outside the bun indeed!

Verese of the day: He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 2 Timothy 1:9 NIV

Random thought of the day: \:  As you may have noticed, I haven't blogged for about a week now. I've been in Florida blogfans!! SOOO fun! If you're friends w/ me on fb you can check out my album "J & S's epic Florida adventure" album. Tons of beach and aquarium pics- check it out!! :)  My best friend Jen came with me, and one of the things we talked about on the trip home was how easy it was for us to travel together, and how not everyone is.  People who are go-with-the-flow, and who have a similar personality as you, people who don't have to be entertained every second, and who are okay with companionable silence- these are the best buddies to travel with.  And, if you're lucky, by the end of the trip, you're friends will feel like family! :)

the earth made it around the sun one more time... I really thought it
wasn't going to make it this year, but darn it if it wasn't the little

Random thought of the day: So this Thu, I got my first grad school acceptance letter- from Bethel!  I am so excited!! It's a super great Christian school, and I konw that I would get good instruction on how to be a witness for Christ as a counselor.  I'm still praying about my decision (I interviewed at St. Thomas this week, and I'm still waiting to hear back from them and St. Cloud) but I'm pretty sure this is the school I"m going to choose. Being chosen feels good. :)

Random thought of the day: I've been a bit under the weather this week.  Last weekend I had to go to urgent care for a virus, and two days later they called me to say that they'd given me the wrong kind of medication for the type of sickness I had.  I had to start all over with a new course of meds, and I"m still not really feeling like myself.  At least this happened before my vacation next week. Sigh.
