Things that are awesome: ... My bunny.  (well technically, he's my sisters, but I've been taking care of him since she left for college years ago).  He is so friendly- he stands up against the side of his pen in the garage whenever I call him, and contentedly sniffs and closes his eyes when I hold him and watch tv.  He eats more fresh fruit than I do, and is quite energetic for his old age. Yeah pets!!

Things that are awesome: Mailing suprise packages to people you miss a lot...I can't name names (it would ruin the suprise), but a friend of mine moved away earlier this year and I've missed him a ton ever since.  I decided to suprise him and send him a package for Christmas... Picking out what to send and going to the post office today lifted my spirits a little. I hope the package lifts his too.

Things that are awesome: ... The way God keeps trying to reach people, even when they are running from Him.... I just watched the movie "Sparkle," the last movie Whitney was in before she died of cocaine use, and in the movie she was cast as a Christian mother, trying to raise her daugheters to respect God.  In it, she sings in a church choir, and performs the song "His eye is on the Sparrow," which talks about how God is wathing out for people.  Its amazing to me how, even though Whitney's life was clearly out of control, she got this part at the end of her life that was totally an opportunity to reconnect with God and be a witness for Him.  Even after all of her running, He was trying to reach her.  What an awesome kind of love!!
