Verse of the Day: ““Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This isn’t a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your child asks for bread, do you trick him with sawdust? If he asks for fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing. You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?” Matthew 7:7-8 MSG

Things that are awesome:  ... Reading aloud with others.  Although I am a solitary reader most of the time, over the past couple years I've started reading books with both my parents (my mom likes me to read her to sleep at night, and my dad likes to take turnjs reading aloud in the car or at the kitchen table) and I've learned to really enjoy this form of reading too! It's fun to hear what other people think about books, and hearing my parents laughter at funny moments fuels mine. :) It's fun to pay back the favor by reading to them, as they used to read to me when I was little. :)

House Quote of the Day:
                                        Chase: "He'll never consent."
House: "Never is just 'revin' spelled backwards."

MLS of the day: "Today, my 5-year-old daughter told me that I needed to stay 50 feet away from her at all times when we were at school, mostly because I didn't hang with the cool parents. MLS."

Truth or Myth?: "Hitler's remains are missing to this day."
(Yesterday's answer: Truth. Grave robbing was widely practiced to provide cadavers for students in the 18th and 19th centuries.)

ScaryFact:  "Viagra.. can cause blurred vision and problems distinguishing between the colors green and blue. Some researchers suspect that Viagra users are at risk for permanent loss of vision because the drug cuts off the flow of blood from the optic nerve, a condition called nonarteritic ischemic optic nueropathy."
