Verse of the Day: "But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus. He will be great, be called ‘Son of the Highest.’(Luke 1:31)

Things that are awesome:  Lately there has been a huge boom of this expression- its showing up everywhere, from cell phone covers, to t-shirts, to posters... Some people have added stupid adaptations to the "keep calm," but I still think the original version is awesome.  Not only do I have a predilection for anything British, it has some sweet history behind it. This mantra first appeared in England in 1939, when the government designed the poster pictured above as a morale lifter for the people during WW11. Even 70+ years later, it is still a great motto to live by, especially in light of things we can't control, like the horrible tragedy that occured yesterday in Connecticut.  This world is not our home, and sometimes the best thing we can do when tragedy strikes is keep calm, and do our best to carry on.

House quote of the day:
(After a bet to see who could keep a chicken at the hospital for longest undetected...)
House: "To the victor the spoils!... Your chicken recover ok?"
Wilson: "Physically, yes. Emotionaly... it was a long night. Next week... ferrets?"

Far Side of the Day:

Psych fact of the day: unmitigated agency= personality type that believes that personal goals should never be compromised by insipid socialization
