Verse of the Day: “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV

Things that are awesome:  This awesome organization that coordinates volunteers to package meals that get sent to starving people worldwide.  There's a location in Chanhassen that I went and voluteered at with some people from Westwood Church tonight.  It was a blast! You work in teams to pack these bags of rice, chicken, veggies, and soybeans that get sent to missionaries and relief groups in various countries- tonight the 31 boxes we packed were getting sent to Haiti.  You sign up for a two hour slot, watch a couple of videos before and after, and spend about an hour and half packing. Its a blast and it makes a huge difference. You can also donate to help fund the food they send. Check it out! www.fmsc.org/

 Far Side of the Day:

Urban Dictionary Word of the Day: Pumped-up Kicks: The phrase 'pumped up kicks' basically means shoes that are very expensive. It could also be taken as it's non-literal term meaning 'the latest and greatest apparel items'.

Psych Fact of the Day: Research demonstrates that, contrary to popular opinion, cohabitation actually leaves people LESS prepared for marriage than people who DON'T live together beforehand. According to various studies, married couples who "shacked up" before marriage score worse an almost every scale imaginable- from marital satisfaction, to commitment, to domestic abuse, to divorce rates... Don't be fooled people!
