Verse of the Day: “What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.” 2 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV

TuesRant: What's with people saying "you look tired" to other people? Is there ANY scenario in which that could be flattering or positive? I've had a few people say that to me in the past few days.. and I'm never quite sure what they're trying to say exactly. Either they mean "you look like crap" or "you should be sleeping," neither  of which are helpful, since I'm never in the position to either change how I look OR immediately go home and go to sleep. Grr.

Book Review:   This book was GREAT! The basis for the movie of the same name, it tells the story of a girl with complicated health issues who finds out she is an abortion survivor and goes on a quest to find her real mother, and come to peace with who she really is.  The movie was great, but I think the book was even better, in that it devoted more time to developing the various characters, and provided a lot more details.  It also includes some parts the movie does not. Has a great pro-life message, as well as a poignant example of forgiveness. Check it out!!

Psych fact of the day: SIB: Self-Injurious Behavior.  Includes, cutting, burning, hitting oneself, etc... Often occurs in combination with other disorders, such as eating disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders.  Is becoming more and more common in teenagers.
